Choi Hyun-soo is chairman and CEO of Kleannara.
She was born on May 25, 1979, as the eldest daughter of Choi Byung-min, former chairman of Kleannara, and Koo Mi-jung, a daughter of former LG Group honorary chairman Koo Ja-kyung.
She graduated from Boston University in the United States with a degree in psychology.
She joined Daehan Pulp, now Kleannara, and worked in the marketing team and the household products business division. She was appointed CEO 13 years after joining the company.
She subsequently stepped down as CEO and succeeded her father as chairman. She returned as CEO in August 2026 and has been leading the company alongside professional manager Lee Dong-yeol, with each CEO holding independent representative authority.
Following the succession, she faces the tasks of demonstrating business results and establishing a governance structure that secures management control.
She is a cousin of Koo Kwang-mo, chairman of LG Group.
She serves as chairman of the Korea Paper Association.
