After becoming CEO in 2006, he spearheaded the spin-off of the fashion business. After becoming chairman of LG Fashion, he changed the company’s name to LF.
He stepped down as CEO of LF and now serves as chairman of the company and its board.
He is laying the groundwork for succession, including moving his son, Koo Seong-mo, into the group’s financial business to begin management training in earnest.
