Life Summary

Ra Jeong-chan is Chairman and CEO of Nature Cell.

He was born on October 18, 1964, in Cheongwon, North Chungcheong Province.

He graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in veterinary medicine and earned a master’s degree in veterinary medicine from the university’s graduate school. He received a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the graduate school of Jeju National University.

He worked in research and development at Bayer Korea and LG Life Sciences.

He founded the biotech company R Bio, formerly RNL Bio, but the company was delisted. He later established Nature Cell and has continued developing stem cell therapies.

He stepped down as CEO of Nature Cell but returned to the position three years later in 2026.

He was indicted on charges of stock price manipulation during the process of applying for and being denied conditional marketing approval in South Korea for "JointStem," but was acquitted.
