Life Summary

Park Joo-hyung is the president and CEO of Shinsegae. He also serves as CEO of Shinsegae Central and Seoul Express Bus Terminal.

He was born in December 1959 in Gangjin, South Jeolla Province.

He graduated from Gwangju High School and earned a degree in accounting from Dongguk University.

He joined Shinsegae and served as an executive director in charge of planning at the Management Support Office and as head of the Support Division for the department store business. He later served as vice president and head of the Management Support Division at Shinsegae E-Mart before working as vice president and head of Shinsegae's New Business Division.

He was appointed CEO of Shinsegae Central City in 2017.

He was appointed CEO of Shinsegae in 2024 and has since led Shinsegae Group's department store business.

Despite sluggish domestic demand, he is making large-scale investments to renovate the company's key stores.
