Life Summary
Jung Won-ju is vice chairman of Jungheung Construction Group and chairman of Daewoo Engineering & Construction.

He was born on July 30, 1968, in Gwangju as the eldest of two sons of Jung Chang-sun, chairman of Jungheung Group.
He graduated from Gwangju Kwangil High School and the Department of Public Administration at Honam University. He earned a master’s degree from the Graduate School of Social Development at Dongshin University.
He joined Jungheung Construction and became CEO of Gwangju FC in 2013.
He expanded the company’s scale by acquiring Herald and Daewoo E&C, allowing it to move beyond the limitations of a business focused mainly on regional projects.
In 2021, he became vice chairman of Jungheung Group and has overseen the group, succeeding his father, Chairman Jung Chang-sun. He also serves as chairman of Herald.
He has served as president of the Korea Housing Builders Association, president of the Central Council for the Right Living Movement, and president of the Central Council of Lay Buddhists of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism.
