He completed the merger of Dong-il Aluminum into DI Dong-il to develop the aluminum foil business for rechargeable batteries into a future growth engine and is expanding investment in materials for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and energy storage systems (ESS).
He serves as chairman of the Korea Textile Trade Association.
