Kim Dong-won is President and Chief Global Officer (CGO) of Hanwha Life Insurance.

As one of the three owner brothers of Hanwha Group, he oversees the group's financial business and has been leading Hanwha Life's overseas expansion as well as its entry into new financial businesses such as fintech.

He was born in Seoul on August 20, 1985, as the second son of Kim Seung-youn, Chairman of Hanwha Group.

He graduated from St. Paul's School in the United States and earned a degree in East Asian Studies from Yale University.

He joined Hanwha L&C in 2014. He later served as head of the Digital Team at Hanwha Group's Corporate Planning Office and moved to Hanwha Life, where he worked in the Corporate Innovation Office.

He went on to serve as Head of Future Innovation, Head of Overseas Business, and Head of the Future Innovation Division before being appointed Chief Digital Strategy Officer (CDSO).

Since 2023, he has served as President and Chief Global Officer (CGO).

He has a strong interest in fintech.

Among Chairman Kim Seung-youn's three sons, he is often regarded as having the personality most similar to that of his father.
