He later moved to Hanwha Qcells, where he served as head of the Management Control Division and head of the Cell Business Division, before taking the role of head of Hanwha Solutions' Business Strategy Office.

In 2020, he was appointed CEO of the Strategy Division at Hanwha General Chemical, now Hanwha Impact. He returned to Hanwha Solutions as Vice President for Strategy and was named President and CEO of the Qcells Division in July 2025.

He is classified as a close confidant of Hanwha Solutions Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan, having worked alongside him on the solar business from its early stages, a business Kim had long nurtured as a new growth engine.
