Kim Hoe-kocheon is the CEO of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.
He is expected to focus on the successful execution of overseas projects already won and on winning orders tailored to the needs of countries seeking to open new markets.
He was born on October 20, 1960, in Gangneung, Gangwon Province.
He graduated from Daegwang High School in Seoul and from the Department of Public Administration at Kookmin University.
He joined Korea Electric Power Corporation and served as head of the South Seoul Regional Headquarters, head of the Management Division, and then Executive Vice President for Management Support.
After leaving KEPCO, he was appointed CEO of Korea South-East Power in 2021.
He took office as CEO of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power in March 2026.
He led Korea South-East Power’s return to profit and improvement in business performance.
As a former KEPCO vice president, he faces the task of restoring relations between the two organizations, which have been at odds over the issue of settling costs for overseas nuclear power projects.
