Huh Tae-soo is chairman of GS Group. He also serves as CEO of GS, the group holding company.

He was born in Busan on November 8, 1957, as the youngest of the five sons of Huh Joon-gu, honorary chairman of LG Construction.

After working at Continental Bank and Irving Bank, he worked at LG Investment & Securities as managing director of the IB division and managing director of the strategic planning division.
At GS Home Shopping, he served as executive vice president in charge of management support before becoming CEO in 2007.
He became chairman of GS Group in 2019 after his older brother, former GS Group chairman Huh Chang-soo, stepped down.
He values practicality and efficiency over formality or protocol, and is known for being humble and diligent.
He has emphasized innovation through artificial intelligence technology and digital transformation.
Through appointments of CEOs at major affiliates, he is laying the groundwork for fourth-generation family management at GS Group.
