She joined Citibank Korea and worked as an analyst in the Corporate Credit Review Department, a credit officer in the Multinational Corporations Department, head of the Multinational Corporations Division, and head of the Corporate Finance Products Division before serving as executive vice president.

She later moved to JPMorgan Chase Bank as a branch manager. She returned to Citibank Korea as head of the Corporate Banking Group, served as senior executive vice president, and was appointed CEO in 2020.

She is a corporate banking expert who has worked in the corporate finance field for more than 30 years.

She is the first female CEO of Citibank Korea and also the first female CEO of a private commercial bank in South Korea.
