Park In-won is the CEO of Doosan Robotics.
Alongside Kim Min-pyo, CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) and CEO, and Jo Gil-seong, CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and CEO, he leads Doosan Robotics under a three-pronged co-CEO management structure.
Leaving behind the failed merger with Doosan Bobcat, the company is pushing to transform itself into an “artificial intelligence (AI)-based intelligent robot solutions company.”
He was born as the youngest of three sons of Park Yong-hyun, Chairman of the Doosan Yonkang Foundation, who previously served as president of Seoul National University Hospital and chairman of Doosan Group, on June 1, 1973.
He graduated from the Department of East Asian History at Seoul National University and completed an MBA program at Harvard Business School in the United States.
After joining Doosan, he worked at Doosan Engine and then at Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (Doosan Enerbility), where he served as Executive Vice President in charge of Water Planning, EPC Marketing, and EPC Sales. He was later promoted to Senior Vice President and held positions including Head of the Water Business Group, Head of Plant EPC Sales and Marketing, Head of the Plant Business Group, and Head of the Plant EPC Business Group.
In December 2022, he was appointed CEO of Doosan Robotics, which serves as the core of the group’s future growth businesses.
He is a fourth-generation owner of Doosan Group.
He faces the task of recovering from revenue that has fallen back to levels seen four years ago and cumulative losses that have grown to KRW 130 billion (US$ 93.5 million).
