Nam Yi-hyun is CEO and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of FADU.
He is leading FADU as a co-CEO together with CEO Lee Ji-hyo.
The company aims to become an integrated storage and power semiconductor solutions provider optimized for the data center and AI era.
He was born on July 2, 1974.
He graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Seoul National University and earned both his master’s and doctoral degrees from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University.
He worked as a researcher at the Information and Communication Research Institute of Comtec System, the Technology Research Institute of Future Systems, the Storage Architecture Research Lab at Seoul National University, and the Convergence Technology Institute of SK Telecom, before serving as a research professor at Soongsil University.
In 2015, he founded FADU, a semiconductor design company, together with a research team from Seoul National University.
He has established a strategy to simultaneously resolve SSD storage bottlenecks and secure “power efficiency and stability.”
Following the company’s listing, he is bearing the burden of addressing suspicions of an “inflated IPO” that arose due to weak post-listing performance.
