Song Su-gun is the Chairman of the Hansung Educational Foundation, which oversees Kyungsung University.
He was born on March 18, 1951, in Busan.
He graduated from Gyeongnam High School and earned a degree in public administration from Seoul National University.
He received both his master's and doctoral degrees in public administration from Georgia State University in the United States. He also earned a master's degree in theology from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Tennessee.
He served as an assistant professor of public administration at Georgia Southern University and West Virginia State University, and later moved to Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Tennessee, where he held positions as Director of University Assessment and Vice President.
He joined Kyungsung University in 2011 and served as its president for 11 years.
He is the uncle by marriage of former Chairman Kim Dong-gi, the great-grandson of founder Pastor Kim Gil-chang.
After stepping down as president, he was appointed Chairman of the Hansung Educational Foundation in September 2022.
Since Kyungsung University was selected as a Glocal University in 2025, he has been working to strengthen the development of a self-sustaining K-culture ecosystem in Busan.
