Life Summary

Cho Jae-min is the CEO of Shinhan Asset Management and also serves as Chairman of the Board.

He was born on September 13, 1962, in Busan.

He graduated from Chungam High School in Seoul and the Department of Business Administration at Seoul National University. He later completed an MBA program at the Stern School of Business at New York University.

He began his career at Citibank’s Seoul branch.

He went on to work at Dongyang Finance, the Hong Kong branch of Crédit Agricole Indosuez, and the Hong Kong branch of Standard Bank before moving to Midas Asset Management, where he was appointed CEO in 2000.

After serving as CEO of KB Asset Management, he moved to KTB Asset Management and later returned to KB Asset Management as CEO four years later.

In 2022, he became CEO of Shinhan Asset Management, joining the Shinhan Financial Group.

He is so focused on his work that he has virtually no personal hobbies.
