Life Summary
Kim Jeong-Kyoum is the president of Chungnam National University.

He was born in 1963.
He graduated from the Department of Education at Chungnam National University and earned both his master’s and doctoral degrees in education from the same university.
After working as a research fellow at the Korean Educational Development Institute, he was appointed as a professor in the Department of Education at Chungnam National University.
He served as Dean of the Institute for Basic Liberal Education, Head of the University for Creative Korea (CK) Project Group, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Director of the AI Convergence Education Research Institute before being appointed president in 2024.
He has also served as Vice President of the Korean Educational Research Association, Vice President of the Korea Entrepreneurship Education Association, and President of the Korean Society for Educational Technology.
Following the university’s selection for the “Glocal University 30” program through its alliance with Kongju National University, he is also focusing on establishing a regional strategy and creating an education and research ecosystem that connects Daejeon, Sejong, and South Chungcheong Province.
