Park Se-chul is the Chairman and CEO of Oriental Precision and Engineering.
He saved the company during the global financial crisis and its corporate workout, leading it to become the world’s No. 1 ship crane manufacturer.
He was born on August 26, 1957 (lunar calendar) in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province.
He graduated from Daechang High School in Yecheon, North Gyeongsang Province, and later from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dong-A University in Busan. He earned a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Graduate School of Industry at Pusan National University.
After working as a marine engineer, he joined Oriental Precision and Engineering in 1989 as Design Manager at the Technical Research Center.
He went on to serve as Head of the Busan Plant, Executive Director of the Overseas Business Division, and Executive Director of the Management Division as well as the Planning and Coordination Office. In 2013, he was appointed CEO of Yantai Dongfang Precision and Engineering, the company’s Chinese subsidiary.
In 2014, he was promoted to President and CEO of Oriental Precision and Engineering, and in 2021, he was promoted to Chairman.
He concurrently serves as CEO of Oriental Inspection and Development, the group’s holding company.
He enjoys the full confidence of the founding family.
