Kang Ho-chan is the Vice Chairman and CEO of Nexen Tire. He also serves as CEO of Nexen, the group's holding company.

Born on October 30, 1971, in Busan, he is the only son of Kang Byung-jung, Chairman of the Nexen Group.

He attended Busan Middle and High Schools, earned a degree in business from Yonsei University, and completed an MBA at Seoul National University’s Graduate School of Business.

He began his professional career at Daewoo Regent Securities before joining Nexen Tire.

He joined Nexen Tire as a manager in the finance team, later becoming Head of Sales. In 2009, he was appointed President and CEO.

Since 2013, he has also held the position of CEO of Nexen. He was promoted to Vice Chairman in 2019.

Beyond his corporate role, he is active in sports marketing and serves as the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Busan.

He is known for his warm and cheerful greetings, which earned him the nickname “Smile Man.”
