Life Summary

Jun Kyong-nam is the President of Mirae Asset Securities.

He leads the trading division of the firm, working alongside Vice Chairman Kim Mi-seop, who oversees corporate finance and global operations, and Vice Chairman Heo Sun-ho, who is responsible for retail (individual finance).

Born in Seoul in 1968, Jun graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Yonsei University and earned a master’s degree in financial engineering from the KAIST Graduate School of Business.

He began his career at SK Securities and later worked at Shinhan Securities before joining Mirae Asset Securities in 2000. In 2024, when Mirae Asset Securities launched a unified trading division by integrating its S&T, derivatives, bonds, and proprietary investment (PI) businesses, Jun was appointed as its CEO. He was promoted to President in 2023.

Jun is known as a "multi-player" within the company, having built a long career in trading while also gaining experience in management innovation and corporate support.

After working as a trader for over 20 years, he moved into management and spent six years in planning, finance, and human resources. Leveraging his expertise in investment, he later returned to lead proprietary investment and trading, where he has achieved outstanding results.

He is considered one of the pioneers of Korea’s derivatives market and has extensive experience with a variety of new derivative products, including futures and options, ELWs (Equity-Linked Warrants), and over-the-counter derivatives.
