Lee Hae-wook is the chairman of DL Group.
He has restructured the group’s business portfolio to focus on construction and petrochemicals, placing emphasis on strengthening profitability in construction and increasing value-added production in the petrochemical sector.
He is also committed to improving the group’s public image and establishing a transparent governance structure.
Born on February 14, 1968, in Seoul, he is the eldest son among three sons and two daughters of Lee Joon-yong, Honorary Chairman of the Daelim Group.
He graduated from Kyungbock High School in Seoul and earned a degree in Business Statistics from the University of Denver in the United States. He later obtained a master's degree in Applied Statistics from Columbia University.
He began his career at Daelim Engineering as a deputy manager and was appointed President and CEO of Daelim Corporation in 2007, and Vice Chairman and CEO of Daelim Industrial in 2011.
He is the largest shareholder and the de facto apex of DL Group’s ownership structure. After transitioning the company to a professional management system, he stepped down from his registered executive role and assumed the chairmanship.
Known for his free-spirited personality, he also has a keen sense of artistic taste.
