He graduated from Jecheon High School in Chungbuk and earned a degree in trade from the University of Seoul.

He started his steel business by establishing Injin Steel in the Shihwa Industrial Complex in Incheon.

In 1990, he relocated his business to Pohang and founded Daewon Industrial.

He has a strong competitive spirit and drive, valuing a hands-on sales approach by personally meeting with clients.
