Kim Seong-Keun is the President of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH).

He has served as a professor at Seoul National University and Chairman of the Samsung Foundation for Future Technology Development.

Recognized for his outstanding research achievements in the field of chemistry, he was selected as the first National Scholar by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (Ministry of Education) in 2006 and as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry in 2013.

He was recruited as the president, being evaluated as the person with the most needed leadership for POSTECH, which is at a turning point ahead of its 40th anniversary.
