Lee Hak-jae is the president of Incheon International Airport Corporation.
He is working to normalize the operation of Incheon Airport to meet the recovering demand for air travel.
He is also striving to successfully complete the fourth phase of the Incheon Airport infrastructure expansion project.
He was born on August 19, 1964, in Gimpo, Gyeonggi-do. He graduated from Bupyeong High School and the Department of Animal Science at Seoul National University. He earned a master's degree and a doctorate in economics from Chung-Ang University Graduate School.
He was active in the Incheon Environmental Movement Federation and served as a councilor for Seo-gu, Incheon, before becoming the mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon, for two terms.
He was elected as a three-term member of the National Assembly, starting from the 18th National Assembly election.
He was appointed Chief Secretary to Park Geun-hye, the emergency committee chairman of the Saenuri Party, and later served as Chief Secretary to Park Geun-hye, the presidential candidate.
He served as a secretary of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts of the National Assembly, vice chairman of the Policy Committee of the Saenuri Party, and chairman of the Intelligence Committee of the National Assembly.
He left the Liberty Korea Party (now the People Power Party) to join the Bareun Party and later rejoined the Liberty Korea Party. He served as a political special advisor to Yoon Seok-yeol, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party.
As a politician with a background in social activism, he has demonstrated strong work drive and smooth communication skills.
