Life Summary
Seo Jin-seok is the CEO and President of Celltrion's General Management.
He is the eldest son of Seo Jeong-jin, the founder and Chairman of Celltrion.
Born in August 1984, he graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Animal Resources. He also earned a master's and a doctorate from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in the Graduate School of Bio and Nano Technology.
After joining Celltrion's Life Sciences Research Laboratory, he served as the Head of Product Planning at Celltrion's R&D Headquarters, Vice President of Celltrion Skincure, and CEO of Celltrion Skincure. He returned to Celltrion as Senior Vice President and Head of Product Development.
Following his father's announcement of retirement from management, Seo Jin-seok took on roles such as Chairman of the Board at Celltrion, Internal Director at Celltrion Healthcare Holdings, and Internal Director at Exda Therapeutics, a UK biotech company invested in by Celltrion, stepping into the forefront of management.
Since the integration of Celltrion and Celltrion Healthcare in 2023, he has been leading the company as Co-CEO of Celltrion.
Given his father Seo Jeong-jin's commitment to separating ownership and management and setting a clear boundary against hereditary succession, Seo Jin-seok is focused on proving his managerial abilities.
